I Feel Like I'm Inside a Snow Globe!

We haven't had much snow here this year which is a rarity in Michigan. But on Monday morning we didn't have school and I woke up and the ground was covered with SNOW! White and fluffy, cold and wet, beautiful and stunning, SNOW! I went over to my friend Rae's house and Rae, Jessie and I played in the snow for a while, but it got really cold because of the negative degrees windchill, so we camped out in the doghouse. Finally when we were let back inside, we had hot chocolate with tons of mini marshmallows and globs of whipped cream. Yum!
(Scroll down for more)

Right outside my front door, you can't really see it snowing, but believe me, it is!
Tuesday I woke up for school and was surprised that it was canceled because of a snow day! I was so happy and I went back to sleep for a few hours. Then I went to Rae's house again and we went outside with nothing but boots and sweatshirts to see how long we would last. Not long I tell you! It was freezing! After we came inside we had more hot chocolate while roasting mini marshmallows on toothpicks over a candle. It didn't work that well, but then again, I don't have the patience for that anyway. We also watched lots of episodes of the first season of OUAT which is almost my new favorite show! I stopped at the worst possible place though. I can't wait to see more, but don't tell me anything about the second season, I haven't seen that yet!
Yesterday, sadly we had school. Ah, well!
But I feel like I'm in a snow globe! It's gorgeous outside, it's snowing huge flakes and the snow is sticking to the trees which makes it amazayn. How can I not feel like a snow globe? Do you guys have snow where you live? I personally can't imagine living in Florida or California and not having snow in the winter time. I would miss it so much because winter is my second favorite season after fall!

That reminds me, I have to do that dare! So you all voted and it looks like I'll be striking up a
conversation with a stranger.... Hard for me to do, but has potential to be very fun! I will be doing this as soon as possible, and I invite you to join me and try the same thing. But make sure you don't just walk up to someone in the store, do it somewhere you feel comfortable, like your school or youth group. I will take dares for February starting in February, so start scheming! xD

  1. How much did you get? We always have snow, so the novelty wears off after a while. I'll admit that it's beautiful, but I hate being cold, so winter is not high on my favorites list. :)

    1. We got about 8-10 inches, and I agree that it does look quite ugly when it gets all brown.... ick!
I don't like being cold in the summer, but I love being cold winter. Well, not too cold anyway!

  2. The snow looks so pretty, for years we never got snow (UK) and then the past 3/4 years it started snowing the first two years I loved it but then I fell and broke my wrist and I just hated it, and now whenever it snows it gets really deep and then we don't get to ride cause it cancels the lessons (only an outdoor school that ices over) so the snow and I have a love hate relationship :) But it is currently snowing :P

  4. So I live in California and I find people's perspective of California so funny! So many people think it is just sun and big cities. California actually is one of the biggest farming states. And we get a lot of snow. Especially where a live.

We haven't got any snow yet, but hopefully soon!

I hope you have fun with the snow!

    1. Ok, I was one of those people who thought "sun and big cities". I mean I knew that not all parts of California are like that, but whenever I hear "California" that's what I immediately think.... :P
I hope you get your snow soon too!

  6. Your lucky! It snowed for about 2 minutes on Monday where we live ha ha (PA) and then it was snowing now for about an hour but it stopped... It snowed so so much like two years ago and all but after that it just stopped, sadly. Hope we get much more snow this year!

  7. You're so lucky! We had a lot of snow for like three days - I was snowed in on Friday night! (though it wasn't actually good at all cause it meant I couldn't go to youth group) - but then it started raining really heavily late on Saturday afternoon and by Sunday morning it was all gone! Sad times! :(

Hello there! Thanks so much for dropping by my little corner of the blogosphere. I'd really appreciate if you could give me a follow as well *hint, hint* These "about-me's" are literally the hardest things to write, but I'll have a go at it. You can call me July, or really whatever else floats your boat. I live in a very culturally proud little town that borders beautiful beaches, giving us fun for both summer and winter such as swimming, tanning, boating, skiing, ice-fishing, ice-berg walking, and gorgeous sunsets on the beach year-round. I hope to make it through high school and head off to college for, well, I don't know yet, but whatever it is, it'll be something I love. Robotics, books, movies, and music of all genres are kinda my thing. I would basically consider myself to be one of those stereotypical girls who fall desperately in love with fictional boys... I have a strange obsession with tea drunken from cute elephant mugs. So grab a cuppa and strap yourselves in for some brilliant stuff coming soon!
