2014 Highlights and What's Up For 2015

Helllllo! I hope your holiday celebrations were fantastic whether you celebrate Christmas, Hanukkah, New Years, or any other holiday that I am forgetting. So, it's 2015 which means I started my blog four years ago, in 2011. That's crazy talk people.
Anyway, 2014 went psychotically fast for me, but it was probably the best year of my life so far. Some highlights included:
*note that all are my photos*

A. Having the best foster dog in the world

B. Winning robotics competitions plus qualifying for worlds

C. Going back to Colorado

D. Seeing One Direction and Five Seconds of Summer in concert

E. Trying out for my school's advanced choral group
F. Playing handbells in front of around 1,200 people.
G. Performing a choir concert on the same stage as Ben Rector (who else can say they've done that?!?!)

H. Going to Chicago and seeing the giant Christmas tree plus all of the Christmas lights

I. Finding out my grandma is taking my whole family to Florida next Christmas
J. Being able to maintain a 4.00 GPA through 1.5 years of high school
K. Getting a job

L. Making tons of international friends and taking my friend from Mexico sledding for the first time

L. Being able to keep on blogging, even though not as often as I used to
M. And so, so, so much more.....

And now for my 2015 New Year's revolutions. Whooo! I think I only have four at the moment.....
1. Buy a car (well, actually my license first.....)
2. Post more good content on this blog
3. Have a bigger part in robotics build season (which has started yay)
4. Keep up doing well in school (yes, lame. I know. But I want to go to a good college)

And that's really it! I'm hoping to actually follow through on all of these this year, and maybe even a few more if I can think of some.
What are some highlights of your 2014, and what are your revolutions for 2015? I want to know. Maybe you'll inspire me this year :)
Anyway, I gotta get back to paying attention in class (heh, oops).

July

  3. Happy New Year July! You've had a fascinating 2014. Robots...handbells...sledding... they are all such foreign concepts to me. Things I only see in films. You have such a generous Grandma - FLORIDA!!?? :o
All the best for this year, I hope you get your car. I just got one and have only started learning. (it's so scary!)

    1. Thanks, you too Marian!
You've never been sledding?!?!?!? I understand robots and handbells being somewhat uncommon, but SLEDDING? If you're ever in the US in the winter, come to my house and I'll take you on the best sledding trip ever :) Is there never snow in Ireland?
Yes, I love my grandma, haha.
Ohh yay you about the car! How old do you have to be in Ireland to start learning to drive and then get a driver's license? Here, it's 14 and 9 months to learn and 16 to get a license. Good luck learning!

    2. Snow in Ireland compared to snow in America is quite different. If we're lucky we'll get snow around the end of January but the most it will be will be is about 2 inches thick. So yes - I will gladly accept your invite and try this thing you call "sledding" :L WHOO!
Wow -that is young to drive. In Ireland you can start driving from 17 and it takes at least 6 months with 12 lessons before you can do the test to get a license. And there's a grudge against young drivers so if you do the test at 17 you are more likely to fail especially if you are male.
Thank you! I have my first lesson in a few hours ^_^

    3. Yessss! Come sledding with me!
Oh wow, that's so different compared to here! 17 just seems so old.... Haha! I suppose there is a good point in younger drivers being less careful and more reckless though.
How did the lesson go?? :D

  4. Doing well in school is important so that is not a lame resolution at all! <3 Your dog is so cute (although I'm more of a cat person) and I also really love how you cover up your face with stickers it looks soo cute! Those Christmas decorations are so pretty!

By the way, yes you can join the WWC now if you want! I can't wait to see what you'll write! xo

Do keep in mind, though, that it is the second-last post... so you'd only be with us for one/two weeks... Thanks for dropping by my blog again! Cloudy Dreams
