My Unexplained Summer Hiatus Explained!
Hey hey hey! Let me just start out by saying I'm really sorry that I've been ignoring my blog AND all your blogs this summer. You guys probably don't even remember who I am anymore!!
Summer's been busy and fun, and I've been using the past three months to unplug, take a break from the internet, and recharge and become inspired again for my blog.
Anyway, because of my hiatus, I feel as if we should start over.
Let me reintroduce myself.... Hello! My name is July A. Emmance, but you can call me July, or really whatever else floats your boat. Let me tell you about my summer. I live in a very culturally proud little town the borders beautiful beaches giving us fun for both summer and winter such as swimming, tanning, boating, skiing, ice-fishing, iceberg walking, and gorgeous sunsets on the beach year-round. I spent a lot of time at my local beach this summer.....
Michigan also has an abundance of fresh fruits to pick in the summer, so I picked a lot of blueberries!!
And hammocking has been all the rage lately, so I hammocked.
I went to summer camp (of which I didn't not get any pictures because we weren't allowed to bring cameras, but that was extremely fun as well. Some highlights include lazy river tubing, horseback riding, canoeing, eating ice cream, making crafts, and getting to know the counselors there.
I also spent an afternoon doing a nature photo shoot in my backyard.....
I went to the zoo!
And last but not least, I went up to Northern Michigan to Mackinac Island. This was my little vacation for the summer and it was extremely fun because we spent a lot of time on the island doing touristy things (just like you're supposed to because it is a touristy island). If you haven't had a chance to go there, you definitely should if you ever make it to Michigan. The island is famous for making fudge, so if that doesn't make you want to go, I don't know what will! No, but for real though.... there are no cars on the island so people get around by bike or horse and there's such a nice charm to the island that it's irresistible. My favorite part was when my family biked around the outside of the island :) Unfortunately I forgot my camera so I didn't get pictures the day we went there but I have a few from the main land.
Don't these fire pictures look like horses?!?!?!?!
So those are a few highlights from my summer! Now I want to here about yours. Let me know what you've been up to lately in the comments below.
Also be looking out for my next post coming out in the following week on unpopular book opinions :)
Love y'all!
Mischief Managed,
July
That sounds absolutely amazing!! The beach, camp, blueberries, fire horses... I've been doing nothing except reading and blogging, so I've got nothing to say. (although I've been enjoying all the rest and relaxing) It's good to have you back, though :) Because I'll be honest, I kinda forgot you existed. Sorry about that. Lots of other great bloggers out there that kept me occupied. We all missed you, though!
ReplyDeleteIt was great, but reading and blogging sounds great as well.
DeleteAnd how dare you forget me??? Haha. I'm kidding of course. I'm certainly glad to be back!
EM!
